Types of Articles
Articles must be in the English language, and may be of three basic types:
- Original Papers: Detailed discussion involving new research, applications, or developments. An article describing significant advances from publications already presented at Conferences is also welcome. However, the authors must cite the respective conference paper, introducing clearly what the new contributions of the paper are to be submitted. In order to ensure a concise initial presentation of authors’ research propositions, we ask that authors limit their first drafts to fewer than twelve print pages. The article may then be expanded to include further pages as deemed necessary during the review process.
- Survey Papers: Extensive reviews of established or emerging research topics or application areas. Prospective authors of Survey Papers or Tutorials should contact the Editor-in-Chief before preparing their contributions.
- Technical Correspondences: Letters to the Editor-in-Chief about subjects of interest to the journal (book reviews, conference reports, calendar of forthcoming events, etc) or comments on previously published papers. The authors of commented-on papers will be allowed to respond (limited to 2 printed pages).
